The whiskey smoker isn't a departure from what we make. It's the same logic in a different form. Hardwood, smoke, a slow ritual with something worth paying attention to, the object fits because the territory was already ours.

What a Whiskey Smoker Is

A whiskey smoker infuses a spirit with smoke. A wood chip is ignited on a screen platform above the glass, covered so the smoke fills the vessel, and the spirit absorbs the smoke character in a way that changes its flavor without altering the base liquid. It seems elaborate until you've tasted what it does to a good bourbon. Then it seems like the obvious way to drink one.

Why the Material Fit Is Real

We work in hardwood every day. We understand grain, cut direction, finishing, and how wood behaves under hand use over time. The smoker's platform, handle, and body are fundamentally wood objects. They require the same craft attention we already apply to lids and trays. That part wasn't a stretch.

The smoke connection is more specific than that, though. Whiskey, particularly bourbon, is aged in charred oak barrels. The smoke and wood character that defines good bourbon isn't an addition to the spirit; it comes from the vessel it aged in. Oak is the material. Smoke is the process. That's not incidental to what we make. It's the literal description of our brand name. Ember. Wood.

What We Make

The smoker comes in two versions, round in red oak and oval in cherry, each with a stainless mesh screen and a tung oil finish on the wood. The wood is the product. The rest is just what holds it together.
